how do i trnsfer roms to the indigo

edited January 2017 in ROMS
How do i transfer roms from my computer to the indigo? cant get a usb in fat 32 to work.

  • fat32 should work. Is it possible that it is ExFAT formatted? If you formatted it with a Mac it is likely to be ExFAT.

Does an Icon appear at all on the indieGO file manager?
  • PLEASE remove the USB stick from the indieGO! AND then :

Please open a terminal in desktop mode and type:
    lsblk -f

    After this please type:
    ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid

This will list all devices and the „unique“ ID Number form the Hardrive
The UUID will be shown in „blue“ color

If we know this number, we can edit the fstab file

    Please type for this:
    sudo leafpad /etc/fstab

    It will open a Text-editor

There at the bottom will be a line
    /dev/sda1 /home/odroid/ROMS ext4 defaults,nodal 0 0

We need to edit this line…
Just replace from this line the part „/dev/sda1“ with „UUID=THEUUIDSHOWNINBLUE“

Lets say your HD has the ID E4345654-5456-768868-eg566 (written in blue text in the terminal ->copy paste with mouse)

The the line will read as:
    UUID=E4345654-5456-768868-eg566 /home/odroid/ROMS ext4 defaults,nofail 0 0
  • We solved it via email :)
  • For me the easiest way to transfer the ROMS is to create a shared folder in your network, and just copy the games from there.
  • I use WinSCP to transfer files, no configuration needed on the IndieGo.
